I've tried to understand the meaning of this symbol and seems so revelatory for the positive influence of the New Moon in Sagittarius.
Wikipedia says about the Groundhog Day :" if a groundhog emerging from its burrow on this day sees a shadow due to clear weather, it will retreat to its den and winter will persist for six more weeks, and if it does not see its shadow because of cloudiness, spring will arrive early". Therefore the New Moon requires from us to not look too much in the past or to question, overthinking how to go forward. We need to Trust and have Faith( Saggitarian qualities ) that the Sun/Spring are already here. If we fear and look too much to our "shadow" then we will miss the opportunities given by this significant Jupiterian Moon goddess of abundance. And, most importantly, spread light and sunny feelings to encourage others seeing also the fresh start !
